These were obtained from libraries like those of the departments of geography in the various state universities, Cameroon Environmental Watch, WWF, IRAD, Global Forest Watch, World Conservation Union, Bird Life International, International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA), and that of the Food and Agricultural Organisation of the United Nations (FAO). Equally, the divisional delegations of the Ministry of Forestry and Wildlife (MINFOF), the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MINADER), the Ministry of livestock and Animal Husbandry (MINEPIA), the Ndop Rural Council as well as U.N.V.D.A libraries were consulted. The National Institute of Cartography (N.I.C) furnished topographic maps of the study area as well as aerial photographs of the 1963 mission.
Other information was downloaded from the internet such as articles, Satellite images and publications on e-magazines.
1.8.2. Field work:
A number of methods, tools and technics were used in this part of the research. These were in relation with the hypothesis stated and this was carried out in different stages in the course of the research. However, a general questionnaire which touches several aspects of the research was administered; some methods of Rapid Rural Appraisal were also employed. Observations, snapshots of photographs and interviews were used at each stage in this research.
